Happy 2021!

I have chosen "discover" as my #oneword2021, and already have several discoveries that have helped me set some goals for the coming year.

1. I discovered that I have over 100 NetGalley ARCs on my Kindle. Usually when I read and ARC I write a review and delete it from my device, so apparently I have quite the stash of unread books. I have created a spreadsheet and have resolved to reduce the number by more than half this year. (Hopefully more, but I'm trying to be realistic.)
   
2. I have discovered that I am fairly lax in writing reviews on Goodreads. I am great at checking off my star rating, so this year I resolve to write something thoughtful and helpful for each book I read.
3. I have discovered that posting book talks on YouTube is a great way to connect with my students, so I resolve to create 1 book talk each week and share it with them.
4. I have discovered that looking at and posting photos regularly on Instagram is a great way to connect with my librarian peers. I resolve to up my game and post on a regular basis.

One week deep into 2021, I'm doing well with these resolutions, though the book talk will have to wait until my voice returns. What is your #oneword2021? What are your librarian resolutions? I'd love to hear from you!
